Here at Domicile we take extra care to make sure that our models are decorated less like showrooms and more like the real homes our buyers will eventually make their own. We aren’t happy until our spaces are not only unique, attractive, and functional but also full of personality and character – a genuine representation of how a purchaser would transform the space with their treasured belongings.
In this series of posts, I’ll walk you through our most recent models and provide tips and links that can help you Decorate like Domicile and achieve a similar look.
Today’s model: Two Bedroom, Two Bathroom, 1065Sq/Ft at One3One Wellington West (JUST SOLD!)
We created a space that is balanced and peaceful by layering style, texture and colour. There is a playful mix of aged and rustic and new and contemporary. For instance, we’ve coupled a charming hand carved, mango wood coffee table with the sleek and simple lines of a modern armchair. A mix of texture including plush rugs, rough rattan accents and simple patterns create a space that is both cozy and cool. The space is kept open and airy by using a neutral colour palette of grey, taupe and white. Each room is thoughtfully accessorized with pops of blue and green. You’ll notice that we’ve added plenty of art and accents – objects, books, vases and baskets to fill the various corners and shelves – bringing life into the space and creating an inviting effect that feels homey rather than “designed.”
